Primera Guarramilla 2179 m (second part) - before year 1996

Hello again. This mountain, that is so mythical for me, can´t be done justice in so few lines. Furthermore it´s true that to descend from the Primera Guarramilla summit it´s possible to follow two routes: using the slope that goes directly to Puerto de Navacerrada or using the North face (usually called Arroyo Seco). Descending Arroyo Seco when there is enough snow can be an unrepeatable experience, as can be seen in the picture. The photograph was taken in 2005, on the best 25th February I can remember: a cold, sunny, non-bank holiday Friday with lots of deep powder. What more could you ask for?

Hola de nuevo. Esta montaña tan mítica para mi no podía merecer tan pocas líneas. También es verdad que para bajar en tabla desde la cima de la Primera Guarramilla se pueden seguir dos itinerarios: por la pista que baja directa al Puerto de Navacerrada y por la cara Norte (también denominada Arroyo Seco). Bajar por Arroyo Seco cuando hay suficiente nieve puede ser una experiencia irrepetible, como puede verse en la imagen. La foto fue tomada en el año 2005, en el que ha sido para mí el mejor 25 de febrero que recuerdo: viernes laborable, nieve polvo profunda, sol, frío y para qué pedir más.
